I cannot stress the importance to destress, enough. This most often translates to planning a vacation or a quick getaway, but that means time away from work, applying for leave or taking time off.


I have led a corporate life, and I understand. But there have been times when I would just want a small break, a getaway without travel, a down time and a good time with my friends or even the partner/spouse. There have been times that when even a team building or a charity activity would do the trick. It is more about hitting a pause, to stop thinking and start enjoying.


The above means a flurry of decisions. WhatsApp group chats to be created or not? How to avoid the boss or not-so-positive colleague? How to arrange for a parallel kids-date so all have a good time? How to convince the partner or spouse that this meeting in a social set-up is very important? How to ensure you don't get called for a meeting? How to have good time without eating junk? How to accommodate that vegetarian? Where to meet? What Time?
